After a long weekend of late nights during the LOOK3 Festival of the Photograph, Susan and I attended the Hill and Holler dinner Sunday night at Belle Haven, a beautiful farm in Scottsville, VA. The dinner, a wonderful menu of local produce prepared by Richmond Chefs and Restaurateurs, Joe Sparatta of Heritage and Owen Lane of the Magpie, was to benefit the City Schoolyard Garden of Charlottesville. The family-style dinner was paired with wines from King Family Vineyards, and we were lucky to have winemaker Matthieu Finot on hand as well. Lara Call Gastigner an artist and lead illustrator for Flora of Virginia, was there showing prints and examples of her work, and singers Carl Anderson & Ellen Picker entertained guests during cocktail hour. Enjoy these images from a most wonderful evening, and make sure you sign up with Hill & Holler to learn about future events.
Thanks for reading along and taking the time to check out the photos. Head on over to Hill & Holler and sign up to find out when their next event is scheduled. You can’t go wrong. Local food, from local chefs to benefit a local cause. Grassroots community service at its best!
