Hill & Holler at Belle Haven

Hill & Holler at Belle Haven was wonderful!

Hill & Holler at Belle Haven was wonderful!

After a long weekend of late nights during the LOOK3 Festival of the Photograph, Susan and I attended the Hill and Holler dinner Sunday night at Belle Haven, a beautiful farm in Scottsville, VA.  The dinner, a wonderful menu of local produce prepared by Richmond Chefs and Restaurateurs, Joe Sparatta of Heritage and Owen Lane of the Magpie, was to benefit the City Schoolyard Garden of Charlottesville.  The family-style dinner was paired with wines from King Family Vineyards, and we were lucky to have winemaker Matthieu Finot on hand as well.  Lara Call Gastigner an artist and lead illustrator for Flora of Virginia, was there showing prints and examples of her work, and singers Carl Anderson & Ellen Picker entertained guests during cocktail hour. Enjoy these images from a most wonderful evening, and make sure you sign up with Hill & Holler to learn about future events.

Justin! These are great photos of a really special evening. So good to meet you and so excited to see your handiwork- what a great eye- how’d you persuade my frog to stay still? And Tino! I’d love to see more whenever you are able to share.
